Bradley Dale Latham

Bradley Dale Latham, 71, of Winona, died June 9, 2025, at Logan County Hospital in Oakley, Kansas. He was born to Dale and Erma Latham on January 14, 1954, in Hays, Kansas.

Brad grew up in Winona, Kansas and remained there all his life. He was the oldest in his family with a younger brother and sister. Brad graduated from Winona High School in 1972. He enjoyed trucking for many years and had a passion for farming and helping many local farmers over the years.

On April 25, 1980, Brad married the love of his life, Linda. They had three children together. Together they shared years of traveling around the nation watching their children compete in sports and cherishing time with family. Brad took pride in his small town and served as a city council member before being elected mayor of Winona for 12 years, all while being a volunteer fireman. Brad began working at the school in 1987 doing maintenance work. He worked there for 12 years forming life-long friendships and getting to watch his kids grow up. Sports were a big part of Brad’s life, and he enjoyed watching them, but nothing beat getting to watch his own kids compete and see their success and talk about their highlights.

Brad was a devoted father, but his greatest joy came in becoming a grandpa – a role he embraced with all his heart. He always looked forward to the next camping trip. Brad kept track of each grandkid’s activities and was sure to be the grandpa cheering from the stands. Those moments made him one proud grandpa! Brad was always a lifelong fan of the Chiefs, KU, and the Yankees. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, dancing, playing cards and the Rocky Mountains.

Family and friends will remember Brad as a beacon of love and support—someone who always had a big heart and a helping hand. His unwavering love to those he held dear was reflected in every action.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and his son, Dallas Latham.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Latham; his brother, Bryan (Dorothy) Latham; his sister, Pamela (Mark) Lewallan; his daughters, Candice McCall, Ashley (J.C.) Stroup and Linda Tillitson; his grandchildren, Tavon Stroup, Jaya Stroup, Breck Stroup, Cason McCall, Colin Stroup and Cabe McCall.

Brad’s sense of humor lit up every room and his memory will continue to bring smiles, laughter and love to all that knew him.
