Eric Edward Jurek, 36, of Colby, KS, died Tuesday, November 19, 2024. He was born on September 28, 1988, in Haxtun, CO to Frank and Tammy Lea (Warner) Jurek.
Eric graduated from Colby High School in 2007 and started his working career at Palmers Manufacturing. He then farmed and sprayed for Daniel Leebrick, worked in the maintenance department at Colby Public Schools, and worked with computers at Anchor Network Solutions. Eric’s life was marked by a deep love for his children, Jude and Luna, who were the light of his world. Whether it was playing video games with Jude or enjoying shopping adventures with Luna, Eric poured his heart into every moment he spent with them. His loyalty extended to his furry companion, Faye, whose love brought him so much joy.
Beyond his family, Eric was a devoted friend with a big heart, always ready with a laugh or a helping hand. He had a passion for competitive motocross, a knack for technology, and an appreciation for the humor in life. Eric loved deeply, lived fully, and left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Tammy Lea Jurek and grandparents, Lucille Jurek and Carl and Vivian Warner.
He is survived by his father, Frank Jurek; his brother, Benjamin Jurek; his children, Jude and Luna Jurek; grandfather Ed Jurek and several aunts and uncles.
