Gloria Morgan

Gloria Lee Morgan, 89, of Atwood, died November 26, 2023. She was born September 28, 1934, in Atwood, KS, to Marion L. and L. Pearl (Brown) Grone. After graduating high school Gloria attended the University of Kansas where she received her teaching degree. She taught school in Arizona before she was united in marriage with Lavern Morgan.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lavern and sister Betty Joan Grone.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Becki Brown, Gregory Welter, Brian Welter, Dave Makings, Dean Makings, Lorilee Edson, Alan Morgan, Jeff Morgan, Cynthia Demare, Mark Edwards, Marilyn Engel and Cecily Hill.

Burial took place at Chardon Cemetery, Rawlins County, KS. A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2024, at the First Christian Church, Atwood. For information or condolences visit baalmannmortuary.com
