Herald Hatfield

Herald Hatfield “Harry”, 85, of Levant, KS, died Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Logan County Hospital, in Oakley, KS. He was born June 16, 1940, in Ledyard, IA, to Ben and Sophia (Schuler) Hatfield.

Harry had many different talents: mechanic, heavy equipment operator, welder, truck driver. He never met a stranger and would talk to anyone. If someone was in trouble, he would always stop and help. Harry enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Harry was preceded in death by his daughters, Betty Ann Hatfield ad Deborah Theresa Hatfield; five brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife Darlene (Carroll) Hatfield, son Andrew Hatfield and wife Suzzane (Liete) Hatfield, three brothers, one sister, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2026, at Celebration Community Church, Colby, followed by burial in Beulah Cemetery, Colby. For information or condolences visit baalmannmortuary.com
