It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of a beloved soul, Judith Jean (Bond) Harvey, whose presence graced the lives of many. Though each life’s story is uniquely written, the memory of a cherished individual lives on in the tapestry of those they touched, woven into the gentle laughter at a family gathering, the wisdom shared in quiet moments, and the kindness extended to friends and strangers alike.
Judith was born on January 17, 1941, to Jerold and Madeleine Bond. She went to be with our Lord July 26, 2025.
She is survived by her brother, Gordon Bond (Bonnie), brother-in-law William Looney (Evelyn) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Judith was preceded in death by her husband Darrell Harvey, her mother and father, and sisters Juanita Looney and Jeri LaFavor.
Judy went to work for the phone company right out of high school and was employed by them for 40+ years. She married Darrell on September 25, 1981. After she retired, they moved around to Colorado Springs, CO, Pueblo, CO, and Springfield, MO, then back to Colby.
Judy played organ for First Baptist Church in Colby and then in many different churches as she moved around. We rejoice that she is now playing and singing for Jesus her Savior.
As we gather to honor a remarkable life, we are reminded of the fragility and beauty of our own existence. Grief is a testament to love – a reflection of the depth with which someone has touched our hearts. In celebrating their life, we find comfort in memories, strength in community, and hope for the future.
May those who mourn find solace in the legacy left behind, and may the spirit of kindness, curiosity, and love that defined her life continue to inspire all who knew her. Though she has departed from this world her presence lingers in every story told, every lesson remembered, and every act of compassion that carries her light forward.
In loving memory, we bid farewell, not with finality, but with gratitude for the journey shared. May her soul find peace, and may we honor her memory by living our own lives with the same grace, generosity, and courage.
Rest in peace – a cherished soul, dearly missed, and eternally remembered.
