Julie Ann Saddler, 68, of Colby, died Wednesday, August 26, 2026. She was born to Harry and Joan Morphy on August 8, 1958, in Omaha, NE.
Julie grew up in Omaha and graduated from Westside High School in 1976. Julie then moved to Sapulpa, OK, where she worked on a quarter horse ranch. She returned to Colby where she met and married Chuck Saddler. They were married for 42 years and they farmed in Colby. Julie worked for Diebert Harvesting for 20 years, hauling millions of bushels over the years. Prior to retirement she was the director of the Colby Visitors Bureau and loved getting to travel across Kansas as part of the job.
Julie was active in the community. She enjoyed helping the Gem Lion’s Club with their events. She was also an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she served on the Parish Counsil, volunteered for Open Arms Resources, and could often be found spending time in Adoration. In her free time, she loved spending time with her dog Izzy, watching the cooking channel and spending time in the kitchen. She also enjoyed traveling to Nebraska to see family. Julie lived a truly amazing life!
