Lindle K. Harold

Lindle K. Harold, 71, of Colby, died Friday, May 16, 2025. He was born June 13, 1953, in Goodland, KS to Lloyd and Jenelle (Boudreau) Harold. Lindle grew up on a small rural farm southwest of Brewster, Kansas. During high school, he balanced farm work with playing sports and graduated in 1971. After graduation, he moved away and held several jobs before discovering his passion for truck driving—a career that would define his life.

Over the course of 49 years and more than 10 million miles on the road, Lindle became especially skilled in transporting hazardous materials, a part of the job he particularly enjoyed. His career took him across the country, and along the way, he formed countless friendships—he seemed to know someone everywhere he went.

In 1982, Lindle met and married the love of his life, Melinda. Together, they welcomed their son Kyle in 1987, their one and only child. Lindle deeply valued time spent with his family and friends, and he was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.

A true jack of all trades, Lindle was talented in metalworking, carpentry, and mechanics—there was little he couldn’t figure out. He took great pride in the two muscle cars he restored and was known for his resourcefulness, kindness, and generous spirit.

He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, helpful nature, and the many lives he touched both on and off the road.

Lindle was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Jenelle and Lloyd; grandparents Albert and Vera, Harold and Donelda, and Wilfred Boudreau; and his grandchildren, Crew and Brooklynn.

He is survived by his loving wife, Melinda; his son Kyle and daughter-in-law Christina; his cherished granddaughter Teghan; and his sister Karin, along with her children Michelle, Jason, and Heath. He is also survived by his cousin Kay Thornburg and many other dear cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
