Mary A Meyer

Mary Ann Meyer, 64, of Kearney, NE, died Saturday, September 6, 2025. She was born June 21, 1961in Ipswich, Australia to Neal and Patricia (Roach) Crozier. Growing up, her parents had a grocery store, and they used to put Mary in the shop window so she was safe and could watch everything going on outside. She loved to roller skate when she was young and was very good at art in school and choir, even joining the Ipswich Cambrian Choir. She had friends from school whom she still kept in contact with. She taught speech and drama lessons after school as well as guitar lessons. Mary also loved to make coconut ice cream and Russian caramels. She studied business at Tertiary College and got a job at Commonwealth Bank.

Mary became a permanent resident of the United States in 1984. She started out living in Crowley, TX, where her children were born, then relocated to Arlington, TX. Mary placed her faith and trust in Christ alone while attending University Baptist Church of Arlington. She then moved to Gainesville, TX with her family, then to Nebraska, where Kearney became her final residence. Everywhere she went, Mary tried to find a church to call home and serve the Lord to the best of her ability.

Mary was preceded in death by her father Neal Crozier and son Andrew Meyer.

She is survived by her children, Ben Meyer and wife Crystal, of Colby, KS and Kristy Grier and husband James of Mountain Springs, TX; mother Patricia Crozier of Ipswich, Australia; siblings, Joann Armstrong, Donna Ogusan, and Neal Crozier, all of Ipswich, Australia; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Gainesville, TX.
