Moya Dwight (Wildman) Covey-Bieker, 95, of Colby, passed away peacefully June 16, 2026. She was born December 12, 1930, in Colby, Kansas to Dwight Raymond Wildman and Nellie Aretta (Berry) Wildman.

Moya was united in marriage to Everett M. Covey June 9, 1948, in Wichita, KS. To this union, three sons were born, Marvin Lynn, Michael Everett and Dwight Howard and one daughter, Dwila Jean. She married Theodore Bieker in 1987.

She graduated from Colby High School, worked for Farmers and Merchants Bank in Colby in 1949 – 1950, then transferred to the Fourth National Bank in Wichita, KS where she worked for many years. She moved back to Colby in 1972 and worked part time for the Colby School District and Trinity Lutheran Church as a custodian and also Gordon Company for 34 years until she retired in December 2010. After retirement, she continued to work part time for the Colby Edward Jones office and Gordon Company.

Moya was active in her church, Trinity Lutheran Church, and loved working with her plants and flowers and was quite the card shark. She had a smile that would light up any room.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Beach and Winnie (Beedy) Berry and Daniel D. and Jennie A. Wildman; her parents; her three brothers, Daniel, Raymond and David; Daniel’s wife, Joan; Raymond’s first wife Geneva; Marvin’s first wife Debbie; her husband, Everett M. Covey; her son, Michael; and her second husband, Theodore Bieker.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Patrica Wildman (brother Raymond’s 2nd wife); children, Marvin and Gail Covey, Port Charlotte, Florida, Dwight and Ronda Covey, Wichita, Kansas, and Dwila J. and Richard Daubenspeck, Chino, California; grandchildren, Leslie, Lora (Covey) Parker, Mark, Stephen, Travis, Timothy, Terry Covey, Dwila R. (Covey) Busse, T.J. Popp, Jason (Popp) Wood, Matthew Daubenspeck, Tyler Daubenspeck and their families and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Colby, with burial to follow in Beulah Cemetery, Colby. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made to the Prairie Museum of Art and History or Trinity Lutheran Church and mailed in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 391, Colby, KS 67701.
