Sharon Beth Jumper, 86, of Colby, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023. She was born June 30, 1937, in St. Francis, KS, to Elmer and Merle (Anderson) Hallagin. Sharon graduated from McDonald High School and attended Fort Hays State where she received her teaching degree. She taught in many schools around the Northwest Kansas area and even after retiring she never passed up the opportunity to learn or to keep teaching those around her. Sharon could play almost any musical instrument handed to her and in her words, "was a lifelong learner." She was also a proud member of the VFW Auxiliary.

She loved spending time with her family, students, and friends. Always encouraging and supporting those close to her.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son Larry (Christine) Jumper; sisters Sheila (Dennis) Dietz and Ione (Les) Clarke; grandchildren, Kelsey (Melissa) Jumper, Lori Beth (Brian) Wicks and Jennifer Jumper; great grandson Dylan Wicks; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby with inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, Atwood.
