Shirley Mae Parmele, strong in her faith, was a devoted military wife to her late husband Walt and lived around the world. She called Grand Junction home for 42 years and was a cherished member of Victory Life Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. As a licensed clinical social worker specializing in dementia care, she deeply touched many lives with compassion and grace. Her absolute favorite thing to do was hang out with family, and she was a very talented seamstress from a very young age.
She is survived by her daughter, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and three sisters.
Celebration of Life will be held at Victory Life Church in Fruita, Colorado May 15th, 2026, from 11am to 2pm.
